Conservative Parents Burn Their Kid’s Participation Trophies

Milo Yiannopoulos, a gay man and editor at Breitbart.com, was going to speak at the University of California-Berkeley, the latest stop on his “Dangerous Faggot” tour. That wasn’t going to happen, of course, not on their watch. No one was going to enter their echo chamber with diversity of thought! Free speech be damned, we must burn things! (And the question must be asked: Why do they always burn their home turf?)

No matter, conservatives can burn things, too.
In response to the Berkley brats, one mom from Colorado, Cindy Staudt, shared a video she, along with her husband and a neighbor, made in response to the post-election burnings. They are gathered in their backyard “safe space” with fire pit ablaze. And they are armed with years worth of participation and 2nd place trophies awarded to their children for showing up.

The commentary is priceless, certain to trigger the snowflakes that drift among us. “Second place. First loser.” “No hits, but tried real hard.” “Good sportsmanship. That’s just another word for ‘be nice to people.’” “Most improved! You sucked at the beginning of the year.”

Notes Staudt at the end of the video, “We have six amazing young men that we could not be prouder of. And the funny thing is, they didn’t want these [participation trophies], either.”

This conservative mom is not alone in her disdain for what’s transpiring in cities and on college campuses across the country. Conservatives, in general, and conservative women, in particular, are fed up with the nonsense from the Left, and are banding together to fight back in ways we haven’t seen since the early days of the tea party movement.

The groundswell that began on Election Day has only increased in size and intensity, with events like the anarchy at Berkeley and the vulgar Women’s March adding fuel to the fire (pun intended). And while President Trump may be a vehicle for change, there is a conservative grassroots element driving that change, plus a demand for the return of common sense and common decency, that should not be ignored.
